Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites for the Dutch language course.
Lecture topics
The Dutch language course deals with the following topics (to be confirmed):
- Basic grammatical principles and pronunciation
- Basic social phrases (greetings, polite expressions and meeting people)
- Basics about Belgium and its nationals
- Key stones (nouns & verbs, numbers & colors and days, months & seasons of the year)
- Handles for daily life situations (shops & shopping, restaurants and medical situations & health)
Course contents
The Dutch language course aims at introducing the Dutch language and some conversation topics at a basic level.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able:
- To understand the Dutch language at a basic level
- To know their way around in Belgium (shopping, street signs etc.)
- To manage basic daily life situations in Belgium
