Allocation procedure
Students start by choosing three possible dissertation topics from a list of subjects proposed by supervisors from all the partner universities. Students can also propose a subject themselves (in accordance with the dissertation guidelines) which needs to be approved by the Joint Studies Board, and if valid, for which the Board will appoint a supervisor.
During November, when all preferences are submitted, the dissertation co-ordinator assigns to every student a dissertation topic and a supervisor. The dissertation co-ordinator tries to take into account the preferences of the students and a fair distribution of the supervision charges over the consortium partners.
