Structure
The EGEI programme is a one-year full-time master’s programme. It runs over twelve months: nine months of course work (divided in three terms of approximately three months each) followed by three months of dissertation work. The programme has a workload of 60 ECTS, of which the taught part comprises 45 ECTS and the dissertation 15 ECTS.
The timing of the four terms is as follows:
- First term: mid-September to end of December
- Second term: beginning of January to end of March
- Third term: beginning of April to end of June
- Fourth term: beginning of July to end of September
The programme offers a set of compulsory courses and optional courses.
Each academic year students move as a group to three different universities in three different countries.
The language of instruction is English. In addition, optional, but credited language courses are offered in the language of the countries hosting a term (except at Staffordshire University in UK).
